Making memories and leaving legacies one bride at a time…
My parents instilled in us at a young age that we have enough to give back always. Whether it was time, money, cars, homes, food, anything, they believed everything belongs to God and we are just stewards of it.
The older I get the more I see myself holding things a bit too tightly instead of with open hands, so I’ve decided to change that! I want my business (and my life) to be one that honors God and helps others. A percentage from each gown sold and each wedding planning package will be given to two organizations – one local and one international.
LOCAL ORGANIZATION
The local one may vary from time to time, but the main one will be the Haven of Rest‘s Women’s Program – Under His Wings. My grandpa, Mickey Walker, was on the original board for the Haven and so to honor him and support women’s recovery, I’ve chosen the Haven to receive the local donations for 2019.
INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION
In April 2018 I had the opportunity to go to Honduras with the Humanity and Hope United Foundation. I found out about them at the end of 2017 and saw they were making sustainable changes for communities in Honduras. One of their sustainable programs was for women to run their own chicken and pig businesses. I know nothing about pigs or chickens, but as a woman business owner raised by a woman business owner, I knew this was something I wanted to support.
